Liverpool chase former Atletico Madrid midfielder
The Spaniard joined Fiorentina last summer in a swap deal with Montenegrin International Stefan Savic, but he has failed to leave up to expectations at the Artemio Franchi as the Viola manger Paulo Sousa usually opts for Milan Badelj and Matias Vecino to play in the middle of the pitch.
The 28-year-old central midfielder has played just 379 minutes throughout this Serie A campaign, netting one goal against relegation candidates Frosinone. Sevilla and Benfica are also reported to be interested in the player’s services.
Mario Suarez’s contract with the Serie A club is set to expire in June 2019, while his price-tag is believed to be in the region of € 9 million.
