Liverpool chasing Icardi & all the latest news on Inter transfers

According to the English tabloid Metro, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have joined the race for Mauro Icardi as the Argentinean star is also chased by the Premier League sides Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham.

The 22-year-old is not in the form of his life having scored only three goals in nine appearances with the Nerazzurri this term. Roberto Mancini has also benched him in the last home game against the Serie A title rivals Roma, allegedly because of Icardi’s controversial declarations ahead of the game against the Giallorossi (“I am forward, I score if I get service”).

Liverpool’s offer for the 2014-2015 Serie A top-scorer is reported to be in the region € 35 million, nevertheless Roberto Mancini won't let the Argentinean leave so easily. On top of that Icari’s wage has to be added to his price-tag as the former Sampdoria man’s contract with Inter worth € 3.2 million per year.

The Colombian star Freddy Guarin is reported to be edging Inter exit as the 29-year-old does not seem to be on Mancini’s good book anymore. The former Manchester City manager is protecting the Nerazzurri’s defense picking the likes Marcelo Brozovic, Gary Medel and Felipe Melo on the midfield and after a positive start to the season, Guarin’s January departure does not seem so unlikely to happen.

According to the Spanish paper Las Provincias, last summer the Serie A giants made a bid for the Valencia’s winger Sofiane Feghouli, who is reported not to be willing to renew his contract with the La Liga side and could join Inter next summer as a free agent.

Karim Bellarabi, Carlos Vela and Ezequiel Lavezzi are also on Inter’s target but the President Erik Thohir doesn’t seem willing to invest a fortune on new signing in the next transfer window as he has already spent € 109 million during the summer transfer campaign.
