Liverpool to tie up deal for Scottish left-back this weekend

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is close to making another summer signing after reports suggested that the Merseyside giants are closing in on Hull City left-back Andy Robertson. The 23-year-old is desperate for a move to Anfield and the deal could be sealed over the weekend.

Klopp is keen for defensive reinforcements and The Sun claims that the German will pick up the Scottish international for a cut-price £8M. With James Milner having been used as an auxilliaray left-back last season, Klopp wants a naturally left sided player to fill the role and has been monitoring the progress of Robertson throughout last season.

The Scots arrival could spell the end for Alberto Moreno who has been heavily criticised for some high-profile mistakes last term. The Spaniard has been linked with a move to Serie A side Napoli with Liverpool expected to allow him to leave Anfield for offers of around £12M.
