Liverpool: Firmino gives up his number 11 shirt for new signing Salah

New Liverpool signing Mohamed Salah has sent a message of thanks to his new team-mate Robert Firmino after the Brazilian gave up his number 11 jersey for the Egyptian. The 25-year-old completed his move to Anfield on Thursday in a deal which could finally total £39M including add-ons and was pleased to be able to continue wearing his preferred number next season.
 
Salah declared that; “I appreciate what Firmino did. I like No 11. It was my number in Rome and with the national team.The club asked him and I have to thank him very much”. Firmino stated that it was a welcome gift to the player as he now reverts to the number nine shirt next term.
 
Meanwhile, some of Salah’s former team-mates in the Italian capital have been quick to send him good luck messages in his new adventure and the player himself has sent a message of thanks to the club and it’s supporters.
