Liverpool identify Coutinho replacement

If reports are to be believed, Liverpool have identified Paris Saint-Germain star Julian Draxler as a replacement for Philippe Coutinho.

It is said that there’s a growing feeling around Anfield that Coutinho will soon leave Liverpool. And while the Brazilian could well depart for Barcelona in the winter, if the Nou Camp based club don’t sign him in January, Coutinho is almost certain to leave next summer.

And the Reds are already preparing for life after Coutinho, with Jurgen Klopp already having identified Draxler as a replacement for the former Inter Milan man. While Draxler also interests Real Madrid, but Liverpool are looking to negotiate a deal.

The German is falling short of match-time at PSG and has made only seven starts this season, having fallen down the pecking order after the arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe this past summer.

Liverpool are hoping to negotiate a deal for the 24-year-old using the money they get from Coutinho’s imminent sale to Nou Camp.
