Schalke 04 are of course willing to extend the player’s stay at the club but Goretzka is aware of the interest of some top European clubs.

The Catalan paper has talked to the entourage of the player and it has emerged that Goretzka only wants to join two clubs if he leaves Schalke at the end of the season.
If the player won’t sign a contract extension he would only listen to offers of Bayern Munich and Barcelona who are also interested in signing the talented midfielder.
Reports in Germany claimed last month the player is set to move to the Allianz Arena at the end of the season but the interest of Barcelona is making Bayern Munich’s plans much more complicated.
