Liverpool make Roma star, former Chelsea winger top priority

Liverpool are very likely to make an approach for Mohamed Salah, according to B/R.

The Bleacher Report’s Dean Jones writes that the Egyptian star is on Jurgen Klopp’ shortlist.

He has performed very well since joining Roma from Chelsea two seasons ago, scoring 31 total Serie A goals for the Giallorossi after controversially ending his loan spell at Fiorentina.

Unable to break through at Chelsea, the Roma star was reborn in Italy, doing well enough over two-and-a-half-seasons to warrant the attention of some of Europe’s best clubs.

There has been progress in talks between Liverpool and Salah’s entourage, with the Reds hoping to make the most of Roma’s tendency to sell their big players, with Kostas Manolas the most likely to leave this summer.

Jones writes that the possibility of the move coming off will become clearer once he returns from international duty at the weekend.

Remarkably, Salah only became a priority once it became clear that Spartak Moscow wanted £40 million for Quincy Promes, the Dutch international shining for the Russian Premier League side.
