Italian news outlet Repubblica report that Lazio's Dutch defender Stefan De Vrij has still not decided whether or not to extend his contract with the Biancocelesti. The last meeting between the parties took place just before the Europa League home game against Nice at the Stadio Olimpico.

According to the report this hesitation is music to the ears of Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Liverpool who are all very interested in the player and who could leave Lazio on a free transfer when his contract expires at the end of June 2018. Lazio are offering De Vrij a 2 year contract which would see him earn a salary of €2,5 million including bonuses whilst the player's representatives are asking for a 1 year deal with an option to extend to 1 or 2 more seasons where he would earn €2,8 million excluding bonuses. The parties have however agreed to inserting a minimum release fee clause of €25 million and Republica report that De Vrij would like to stay but not at all costs.

A new meeting between the parties is expected to take place over the next few weeks, at the latest after the first derby of the season against Roma.
