Maldini to PSG, Lavezzi happy in Napoli

Paolo Maldini will join Leonardo and Carlo Ancelotti at Paris Saint-Germain next June. According to Le Parisien, Maldini has had enough of waiting for a call from Milan and has agreed to become an active member of the PSG staff.

Last January, the Milan legend visited the club’s facilities in Paris and liked what he saw. Maldini is expected to cover a coaching job supporting Ancelotti.

Lavezzi staying in Napoli

Ezequiel Lavezzi will not leave Napoli at the end of the current season. The player told SkySport24 that he is happy with the Azzurri as he unveiled his personal webpage.

The Argentine striker has been linked to several clubs including Inter and Manchester City.

“I am really happy in Naples. I have a long contract and no intention to leave,” said Lavezzi.

“If Diego Maradona becomes our Coach it would certainly be a good think for all the Neapolitans. That said, we already have a coach with a specific style of play and we are improving under him. Then of course if Maradona was to join us in the future it would be a great thing for Napoli,” concluded the Argentine.

Milan not alone for Javi: Benfica midfielder Javi Garcia has been followed closely by the Rossoneri. But Milan are not the only club after him since Manchester United and City have also approached the player as reported by SkySport.

Uvini snubs Italy: Brazilian defender Bruno Uvini has joined Tottenham on loan from Sao Paulo. The 20-year-old player is regarded as one of the most promising centre-backs in South-American football. Genoa and Roma tried to sign him but the player preferred Premier League to Serie A.

Man United keep Pogba: The ‘new Vieira’ has been linked to Juventus, Milan and Inter but Sir Alex Ferguson has no intention of letting him go. The Scottish manager is set to offer a contract renewal to Paul Pogba and will promise him a bigger role in the first team.
