Man City rushing to sign Bayern, PSG target

Manchester City are in a hurry to sign Alexis Sanchez, and not just because Bayern Munich are in the running for him, too.

The Sun claim that the Citizens are afraid that they may be the victims of a transfer ban. The Mancunian side could end up skipping two transfer window because of their attempts at signing Benjamin Garre, which are believed to have broken the rules.

Sanchez is being chased by other teams, especially Bayern Munich, who could easily land him while Man City are down and out.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti recently made comments which seemed to indicate that he was interested, saying that “if an opportunity comes up, the club will be ready”.

“There are lots of rumours. Alexis is a great player but not the only one in the world. I like Alexis”.

The Chilean has scored 53 goals in 103 EPL games for the Gunners, but has found himself clashing with them over what believes is a lack of ambition.

He didn’t gain any friends by laughing on the sidelines as the Emirates side went out 10-2 on aggregate to Bayern back in February.

“I believe that the market is currently somewhat crazy – and Bayern is not a crazy club,” Ancelotti continued.

“I know the culture of this club and will not ask for any players for whom the club has to spend crazy sums, but if there are occasions, why not?”
