Man United target Macro Verratti following contract row

Manchester United are targeting midfielder Marco Verratti, after it has emerged that the Italian is unhappy with his contract at French side Paris Saint-Germain, according to The Metro.

Currently, the 24-year-old is on a contract worth £6.2m a year, but he is keen for his salary to rise up, following new arrival Dani Alves’ hefty salary of £12.5m a year.
The Brazilian, therefore, is on over double Verratti’s salary – and this has not gone down well, with Verratti having already been keen on a move away from the Parc de Princes.

For several weeks Verratti was linked to a move to La Liga giants Barcelona, but this has settled down after PSG released a video via social media, featuring the midfielder stating that he will be staying at the club, and that he apologies to the supporters after a lengthy saga.

This looks set to change, though, with Verratti unhappy with his contract, and Man United having the added boost that the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, is well acquainted with the side.
