Man United want both Fabinho and Matic

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has the aim of bringing Monaco right-back Fabinho to Old Trafford after the Nemanja Matic transfer is sealed.

The Independent state that Mourinho wants a wide selection of utility players for next season, and sees 23-year-old Fabinho as a player who can play in a number of roles, including the wing-back position and in the holding midfield.

Chelsea’s Serbian Matic is set to be a Man United player this week and will sign to play for his former boss Mourinho in a transfer fee thought to be £35m.

This might not be completed, however, until the Pensioners are able to get there target, Tiemoue Bakayoko, also from Ligue 1’s Monaco.

This dealing may rest on wonderkid Kylian Mbappe – another Monaco player – who is said to be on Real Madrid’s radar.

But the exits of Bernardo Silva to Manchester City, Valere Germain to Marseille and Nabil Dirar to Fenerbahce from the French champions might see them want prices raised for their talent.
