Man Utd and Juve pounce on Chelsea star

Manchester United have joined Juventus in race to sign Chelsea star Nemanja Matic, according to a report of the Manchester Evening News. According to our Juventus reporter Nicola Balice, the Serbian midfielder is one of Max Allegri’s priority targets for the summer transfer window although Juventus are now negotiating the signing of Steven N’Zonzi whose arrival at the J Stadium would prevent the Champions League finalists from signing Matic.

Neither Manchester United nor Juventus have begun transfer talks with the Premier League champions who would prefer not to sell Matic to one of their Premier League rivals.

An offer in the region of £ 40 million (roughly € 45 million), however, may tempt Chelsea to offload Matic and pounce on another top midfielder around Europe.

Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko, for example, is being heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge although no agreement with the French club has been reached yet.
