Man Utd & Chelsea in £30M battle for Fiorentina star

After reports over the weekend that Fiorentina striker Federico Bernardeschi was stalling over a new contract offer at the Stadio Artemio Franchi, comes news from Italian transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla that the 23-year-old is set to become the subject of a £30M tug-of-war this summer between Premier League champions Chelsea and Manchester United. Indeed, it was current Blues boss Antonio Conte who gave Bernardeschi his full international debut when he was in charge of the Azzurri.

The Italian international has reportedly rejected an offer of £2M-a-year from his current employers as he enters the final two years of his current agreement and now La Viola are understood to be ready to cash-in on one of their star players.

It’s not just the Premier League that are interested either; both Serie A champions Juventus, and their bitter rivals Inter Milan are also monitoring developments closely as the Tuscan side gets ready to consider offers in the region of £30M for the player who joined the club as a youngster back in 2009.
