Manchester United defender Eric Bailly will face a late fitness test to determine whether he will be fit to face Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford later today, reports the Daily Mail.

Phil Jones, who was taken off injured during United’s 2-1 defeat at Huddersfield last week , has returned to the first team and is very likely to feature against Mauricio Pochettino’s men.

Bailly has missed the Red Devils’ last three games due to injury but he was pictured entering the Lowry Hotel yesterday, as United players arrived at the hotel ahead of the gigantic clash at the Theatre of Dreams on Saturday afternoon.

Bailly and Jones had established an impressive defensive pairing for United before sustaining their respective injuries and their returns to full fitness could hand Jose Mourinho’s men a much needed impetus for the game against Tottenham, who themselves have star-man Harry Kane out due to a minor hamstring injury.

A win for Tottenham can take them upto second as both sides are level on points and are five points behind leaders Manchester City. United and Spurs are separated only on goal-difference, as things stand.
