Man Utd: Mou identifies Shaw replacement, Lukaku bid ‘submitted’

Manchester United are keen to sign a replacement for Luke Shaw whose future at the Old Trafford has been thrown into doubt by José Mourinho. The Special One is open to sell the Englishman and according to the Sun, the Special One is willing to make an opening € 17 million bid to sign Celtic’s Kieran Tierney.

The 20-year-old can either play as right-back or left-back and impressed with Celtic last season registering 12 assists and scoring two goals in 40 appearances in all competitions.

The Scotland International has emerged as Manchester United’s no. 1 replacement for Luka Shaw although the Red Devils are going to be challenged by Arsenal for the signing of the promising full-back.

Manchester United, however, are also keen to sign a new striker with Alvaro Morata, Andrea Belotti and Romelu Lukaku on linked with a summer move to the Old Trafford.
Talking to ESPN, Paul Marriner revealed that the Red Devils have made an opening bid to sign the Belgium ace.

"My mate is now the sporting director at Everton”, Marriner said.




"They’ve had bids for Lukaku, mainly from Manchester United and Chelsea. It’s a lot of money, I personally wouldn’t be paying that sort of money. They think they can hold out for it but they’ve already added to the squad. It’s going to be very, very interesting to see if they improve and I think they will improve."
