Man Utd's Darmian flirts with AC Milan, confirms he misses Italy amid Inter links

Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Torino, Man Utd full-back Matteo Darmian spoke to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, as he's represented both sides.

"AC Milan was my school of life, the club taught me everything. Grudge? No, I will always thank the club, there are no regrets. I was very young, I wanted to play, I made my choices and the club made its choices.

"Gattuso? He is proving to have good ideas, Elliott is doing good things, they are rebuilding in the right way, they want to bring Milan back where it belongs."

The defender also confirmed that he misses Italy, hinting at a return, which has been rumoured about for a long time. Among the clubs interested, Inter have perhaps shown the most interest.

"If I miss Italy? I have to say yes. I know I'm in one of the best clubs in the world and I'm proud of it, but now I miss Italy. I love my country," he concluded.
