Man Utd’s no.1 alternative to Morata revealed

No secret Manchester United want to sign a new striker this summer as the Red Devils need to find a new front man after the farewell of Zlatan Ibrahimovic whose one-year contract was not extended following his knee injury.

Although Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is reported to have told friends that his move to United is a done deal, there are still no reports suggesting that the two clubs have reached a final agreement for the former Juve star.

Therefore, the Red Devils seem to have identified their number one target in case they fail to reach an agreement with Real Madrid over Alvaro Morata.

As we reported yesterday, Torino star striker Andrea Belotti is on Manchester United’s sights. The Red Devils saw their €70 million bid rejected by the granata but the Italian has emerged as the number one candidate to move to the Old Trafford if Morata’s transfer collapse.

Belotti’s price-tag, however, is reported to be higher than Morata’s given that Torino won’t sell the Italian for less than his € 100 million release clause. Manchester United, however, will still try to sign him if they fail to land their primary target.
