Official: Manchester United keeper signs new deal at Old Trafford

Argentine goalkeeper Sergio Romero has extended his stay at Manchester United. The 30-year-old has signed a new four-year deal at Old Trafford with an option for a further 12 months.

It had seemed as though he would be heading back to his homeland this summer but boss Jose Mourinho, who used him all the way through the club’s triumphant Europa League campaign last season, is aware of his importance to the side and was anxious to keep him in Manchester.
