Manchester United: Mourinho's agent arrives in Italy for talks with Torino over their star striker

Italian sports daily Tuttosport claims that Jose Mourinho’s agent, Jorge Mendes, has flown to Italy for talks with Torino over striking sensation Andrea Belotti. The Portuguese tactician is determined to bring in some heavy duty reinforcements this summer and the 23-year-old remains one of his priority targets.

The Red devils have been linked with a move for Belotti for several weeks along with Real Madrid frontman Alvaro Morata and Everton’s Romelu Lukaku. With the big Belgian seemingly heading to Stamford Bridge to join Chelsea, the Italian journal claims that Mourinho has now stepped up his interest in the Italian international who fired in 28 goals in all competitions last season.

Mendes is a master at pushing through the big deals and his arrival in Turin means that United now mean business to try to get the deal done. Torino President Urbano Cairo has maintained his player will not go for anything less than the £87M release clause written into his contract and which only applies to foreign clubs, but Mourinho feels that Mendes can broker one of the big transfer deals of the summer.
