Reports from France state that Manchester United have made an official approach to Monaco for their star striker Kylian Mbappe. L’Equipe and Canal + (via The Sun) claim that the Red Devils have tabled a £73.5M offer for the 18-year-old who is one of the hottest names on the summer transfer market.
 

Mbappe has set the footballing world alight with his blistering form last term which saw his club lift their first French league title for 17 years and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League. The youngster fired in 26 goals in all competitions to set off a frenzy of activity across Europe with club’s lining up to try to claim his signature.
 

United have been quite guarded about who their main summer targets are with boss Jose Mourinho stating that he has four prime candidates in mind. Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann is still understood to be top of the wanted list but now the Portuguese tactician looks to have added Mbappe to his roster to try to form one of the deadliest front pairings in world football.
