    Manchester United are set to offer € 35 million to sign Lazio centre-back Stefan de Vrij, one of the most interesting defenders in Serie A, definitely one of the most reliable defenders of the Italian league. The Dutchman had been struggling with injuries before the beginning of the current campaign but has now returned to action delivering some great performances that have attracted the interest of Manchester United and Chelsea.

    The Blues added the 24-year-old centre-back to their transfer wishlist last summer, but failed to make concrete offers given that Kalidou Koulibaly, Leonardo Boncci and Alessio Romagnoli were Antonio Conte’s top priority and that the South-West London club decided to sign David Luiz in the deadline day instead.
