Manchester United to meet striker’s €100m release clause

Manchester United are reportedly willing to meet Andrea Belotti’s € 100 million release clause. According to a report of the Daily Express, the Red Devils want to sign the Italian striker in the summer transfer window especially if he will carry on scoring bags of goals like he’s doing so far this season.

Belotti, 22, has already entered the score sheet 11 times in this campaign, registering four assists in 15 Serie A appearances.

The Italian hit-man has just signed a long-term contract with Torino which is set to expire in 2021. A new € 100 million release clause has been added in Belotti’s contract, but the clause can only be activated by foreign clubs.

Belotti would become the second Torino player to sign for Manchester United in the last two years as Matteo Darmain switched the Stadio Grande Torino with the Old Trafford in 2015 for € 18 million.

AC Milan are also being linked with welcoming the player’s services, but would not be open to match the Italy International’s release fee.
