Mancini claims Inter are ‘not interested’ in signing new players

Inter landed in Qatar yesterday night. Roberto Mancini’s side will spend a week there for a recall preparation and to play against PSG on December 30.

Mancini spoke to media following the Nerazzurri arrival in Doha.

Which kind of game do you expect against PSG?
“They are a top club. People will come to see a game between top class players. It is difficult to predict a result. We need to be focused and concentrate to prepare the next Serie a game against Empoli in the best way possible. I would like to commend who has planned and built all the structures to host the World Cup.”

What’s Inter’s target for this season?
“We have improved a lot compared to last season. The league is strange and difficult. Our target at the beginning of the season was a Champions League placement. But now, who knows…”

Have you already forgotten about your last defeat against Lazio?
“I still have to talk about it with the players, but it can’t happen anymore. Defeats belong to the past. We are table leaders, that’s the most important thing right now. We need to think about the future.”

What about the January transfer window? Will you talk to Blanc about Lavezzi?
“We’ll talk about Lavezzi at the end of the game (he laughs). Journalists write many different things in January, but we have a good team and we are not interested to sign any player.”
