Marseille make contact with two unhappy Serie A strikers over possible January transfer

Ligue1 giants Marseille are chasing Gabriel Barbosa and Manolo Gabbiadini who are both unhappy with their game time at Inter and Napoli respectively. According to reports from France, Marseille’s director of sport Zubizarreta has already made contact with the players’ entourages, trying to find an agreement over a possible transfer in the January transfer window.

Gabigol joined Inter in a € 30 million move last summer but has only played 16 minutes in all competitions so far this season and has yet to make debut under new manager Stefano Pioli.

Manolo Gabbiadini started last week-end’s clash against Napoli, but failed to score in the partenopei’s 3-0 win over Inter. The 25-year-old striker has two goals in 15 appearances with the Serie A giants so far this season, surely not enough for the man who should be the long time replacement for injured Arkadiusz Milik.

Marseille are interested in signing both strikers in January, though Napoli and Inter are not open to sell their players and will demand big money in order to sell their unhappy forwards.
