Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard are not for sale whilst the future of Mascherano remains uncertain, according to Liverpool coach Roy Hodgson. He tried to contact Mascherano in all possible ways, he called him, left messages and sent texts.  Mascherano has not replied. According to British website Sportinglife, Hodgson said with regards to Torres: «We want him to stay at Liverpool, he's not for sale and no offer for him will be accepted. I tried to contact Javier, but despite the messages I sent him he has not replied. No doubt he was very busy with the World Cup and he's now returned to Argentina».
