Match report: Plzen 2 vs Roma 1, as Under's goal wasn't enough for Di Francesco's team

Roma took on Viktoria Plzen today in the UCL as Di Francesco's team ended up losing by a 2-1 score line. Even so, Roma had already progressed to the knockout stage of the UCL as they finished second to Real Madrid.

The giallorossi have had a lot of injuries of late as Edin Dzeko, Daniele De Rossi and Stephan El Shaarawy all missed this game due to injuries (Lorenzo Pellegrini on the other hand started on the bench).

The game started off slowly but Plzen started to accumulate quality chances as they started taking control of the game. The first half ended on a 0-0 score line but the hosts came back strong in the second half as Kovarik scored the opening goal in the 62nd minute of play. The lead didn't last very long however as Cengiz Under scored a nice equalizer only 6 minutes later. Plzen responded right away as they took back the lead in the 72nd minute of play thanks to a Tomas Chory goal. To make things even worst, substitute Luca Pellegrini was sent of for Roma late on as it was a night to forget for Di Francesco and his team.
