Messi sends Argentina to World Cup, Sanchez’s Chile eliminated

Argentina owe the qualification to the 2018 World Cup to Lionel Messi. The Barcelona star netted a brace against Ecuador yesterday night helping La Seleccion to seal an away 3-1 win despite the hosts had scored the opener after less than one minute.
Paulo Dybala spent another game on the bench, Mauro Icardi entered the pitch in the 75th minute to replace Benedetto.

Argentina have qualified to the World Cup also thanks to Brazil. The Seleçao had already qualified for the World Cup but managed to beat Chile, eliminating Arturo Vidal and Alexis Sanchez’s side.
