Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has reportedly told the club’s executives about the need to sign Tottenham Hotspur duo Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen, reports Don Balon.

It is said that Messi was following last night’s game between Spurs and Real Madrid very closely, as the Los Blancos were at the receiving end of a hammering at the hands of Mauricio Pochettino’s men at Wembley. Messi was left amazed by the way Tottenham played.

The Spurs side has made such an impact on Messi that the Argentine now feels that the duo of Christian Eriksen and Dele Alli would fit the Barcelona system and he has let the club executives know about it.

It is a well documented truth that Barcelona are in need of a creative midfielder and Eriksen and Alli could be just the type of players they may need. Messi sees them as a younger version of Iniesta-Rakitic pairing that the Catalan side currently has.

Barcelona were already looking at both Eriksen and Alli this past summer, but their performance can make them come back for the impressive duo.

Pochettino’s Tottenham have improved considerably over the past two seasons and Messi sees the Lilywhites as a team to avoid in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
