Messi tells Dybala to join Barcelona this summer

After the two sides met last night in the International Champions Cup, Argentine superstar Lionel Messi reportedly told his fellow countryman Paulo Dybala to join him at the Camp Nou next season. The two players were on opposing sides in the US as Barcelona beat Juventus 2-1 and according to Don Balon, Messi used the match to try to encourage his international team-mate to make the summer switch.

The portal claims that with Neymar, who scored both Barca goals in front of 80,000 spectators at the MetLife Stadium, reportedly closing in on a move to Paris Saint-Germain, Messi has told new boss Ernesto Valverde that the 23-year-old would be the perfect replacement. It’s also believed that Messi has told the club to be patient in their pursuit of Dybala who recently signed a new deal in Turin.

Dybala has also been linked with a possible move to Real Madrid with patron Florentino Perez never hiding his admiration for the player.
