Mexes: 'Only a misunderstanding'
Claudio Ranieri was disappointed with Philippe Mexes' comments to France Football: "My contract expires in June 2011. The club offered a 4-year extension. I am thinking about it, but if I don't play I'll take my decisions".
Ranieri replied: "The players should not say these things. They are paid by Roma and even when they are abroad they are still paid by Roma".
Gian Paolo Montali, general manager of the club, told L'Equipe: "There is no problem with Mexes. There was a misunderstanding. Do not talk about controversies, Mexes has always shown his affection to Roma".
