The new Chinese era at AC Milan got off to a losing start as Vincenzo Montella’s side were beaten 3-1 by Borussia Dortmund in the first match of the International Champions Cup. On a night of torrential rain in the Far-East, the Rossoneri conceded two early goals to their Bundesliga counterparts who looked sharper over the 90 minutes.
 

Nunil Sahin gave the Germans the lead on 17 minutes before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang put his side two-up from the penalty spot. Five minutes later Milan were back in the game thanks to a solo effort from Carlos Bacca but the game was effectively ended on 62 minutes when Aubameyang grabbed his second of the game.
