The Fiorentina striker is a favorite of Milan coach, who thinks he can be more functional than both Belotti and Morata in the Rossoneri technical project. As Aubameyang looks more and more likely to be happy to remain in Dortmund, Montella has refocused his attention to a player he believes is both attainable and fit for the role.

Kalinic has been questioned by some Viola supporters for this ‘familial vacation’ away from the Fiorentina training retreat, as there were suggestions that his transfer was a reason for the separation.
