Milan, first renewal then transfer for Donnarumma

Italian Serie A giants AC Milan are reluctant to sell goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma but they might have to considering the financial position of the club.

As per Corriere dello Sport, the Milan-based club’s hierarchy are very well aware of this situation but they want to make sure that they will maximize the profit from the sale of their prized asset.

Therefore, Milan’s hierarchy have decided to first extend Donnarumma’s contract for two years—which currently expires in 2021—and then sell him in the summer of 2020.
