Milan, Gattuso: ‘Milan is in crisis’

AC Milan were defeated 1-0 by Fiorentina at San Siro this afternoon, with the Viola putting in a spirited performance to take advantage of an out-of-sorts AC Milan side. Speaking to the press after the game, Milan head coach Gennaro Gattuso commented on the match:

‘It's a complicated moment, today we were in an emergency and the defeat burned in. We lost brilliance, today we have also been unlucky, we must not go looking for who is guilty and not guilty.

‘Higuain? It is a question to be asked of Leonardo, Maldini and the club, he is going through a not so brilliant run of form, until he is training at Milanello we have to put him in a position to get him to play his best. However, the whole team is struggling, and cannot express itself at its best, in this context there is also Higuain.

‘The market? I would like to talk about the match and the difficulties, I can not talk about what we lack, it's not my job, I just have to talk about what did not work, now I can hardly talk about the market.

‘Milan is in crisis, there is no obstinacy on Montolivo, I have no problems with him ... Castillejo today was unpresentable, like Laxalt. the next two? I'm always under pressure ... Fiorentina won with a shot, our biggest mistake was to win her at all costs, I'm happy with how the team played, Higuain has to find the goal.’
