Reports from Spain suggest that AC Milan are lining up an audacious move for Real Madrid midfielder Casemiro. The 25-year-old Brazilian was one of the club’s stand-out performers last season as they clinched the Spanish league title and retained their Champions League crown. Now Don Balon writes that there is serious interest from Serie A to secure his services ahead of next season.
 

The portal claims that Milan chiefs have already contacted Real to try to establish if the Spanish giants would be prepared to part with the player and that the Rossoneri see him as the ideal player to fit into coach Vincenzo Montella’s new-look side.

Backed by the finances of their new Chinese owners, Milan has already been one of the big players in this summer’s transfer market and their spending looks set to continue before the August 31 deadline.
 

Manchester United have also been linked with Casemiro in the past despite Real coach Zinedine Zidane confirming that the player figures heavily in his plans for the new campaign.
