    Milan's current sporting director Rocco Maiorino spoke to Sky Sport about a few hot Milan topics, here is what he had to say: "To be ahead of Inter in the standings? Well this is great, we know that we have a very young squad but our main goal was to be competitive. Coach Montella is also doing a great job as he always worked really well with young players. He has helped our youngsters grow and that is very important. He allows them to work in peace and that is also very important for young players.

    Donnarumma? He has been with us for a while now, he is a huge Milan fan and we hope to find an agreement with him as soon as possible. He is an important player for us now but he can become even more important for our future. Even with the new Chinese ownership, our goal will remain the same: to be able to compete at the highest levels possible". 

    Milan are currently third in the Italian Serie A standings. They will be taking on their historic rival Inter Milan next week-end in the Milan derby.
