Milan, Sacchi: ‘Gattuso has brought back a sense of belonging’

Former AC Milan and Parma coach Arrigo Sacchi spoke to the microphones of La Gazzetta dello Sport ahead of the clash between the two sides in Serie A this afternoon. In this interview, Sacchi spoke on a number of topics, including Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso.

“Parma? A marvelous ride, all well deserved successes The fact is that Parma is a city of high-level people with clear ideas and now they collect the fruits of labor, they do not waste economic resources, they do not throw great ambitions: they make the step according to their length of the leg. Now, all that remains is to improve the youth sector and rely on valid instructors to build new players

“Milan? It seems to me that they have been very unlucky, so many injuries, and it's quite serious in one season it's difficult to see them, and when you have such problems it's complicated to put together a high level team.  Yes, they are surprising me.

“He's studying as a grown-up, I see he's very busy, he's always focused on work, he's an extraordinary, generous, passionate guy, and he brought back to Milan what he lacked in recent years: the sense of belonging. Milan, after Real Madrid, is the team that has won the most, but he had lost the pride of wearing such an important jersey, and Rino put this fundamental feeling back at the centre of the field.”
