Milan, shadows on Mirabelli. Suspended for four months in 2011: here’s why

AC Milan’s new CEO Marco Fassone has chosen Inter chief scout Massimo Mirabelli as the club’s new Director of Sport. Mirabelli is an experienced director whose scouting work has helped Inter to sign the likes of Gabigol, Brozovic, Murillo and many others.

No doubt that he’s the right profile to bring new quality players at the club, helping the rossoneri squad to raise their level.

According to today’s edition of La Repubblica, however, Mirabelli was suspended for four months in 2011, when he was working as Sporting Director at Cosenza, a Lega Pro side.

Mirabelli was suspended for having registered the contract of one new singing of Cosenza (Fabio Ceccarelli) with a lowest salary (€ 67.193) than what the player was actually getting (€ 186.233).

An embarrassing precedent that is creating some embarrassment among AC Milan’s chiefs.
