Milan & the Chinese: three renewals & three new signings for January

Three seems to be the magic number when it comes to Milan and their new Chinese owners. Three players already at the club need to be tied down to new deals,Donnarumma, Romagnoli and De Sciglio. Their young goalkeeper has been linked to Real Madrid and Adriano Galliani has already proposed a new contract worth €160,000 a week and a €1 million per year. The player’s agent, Mino Raiola, wants to start a dialogue with new general manager Fassone to clarify the 17-year-old’s future.

Another player from the Raiola stable is midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura whose current deal expires in 2019. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 27-year-old is looking for a significant salary increase in any new negotiations. De Sciglio is out of contract in 2018 and has been linked with Juventus this summer; Romagnoli has also been the subject of much admiration by new Chelsea boss Antonio Conte.

In the Primavera squad the rossoneri are also looking to hold onto goalkeeper Plizzari and their two midfielders Locatelli and Zanellato. All three only have deals until next summer.

A new sporting director will also come in at Milanello and there are three names which stand-out; Prade (ex Fiorentina and Roma), Bigon (Napoli, Verona and Bologna) and Osti (Sampdoria). Former club legends Maldini, Costacurta and Albertini have also been linked to new roles at the club.

Corriere dello Sport states that in January there will be reinforcements with Fiorentina midfielder Badelj and the two South American defenders, Rodrigo Caio (San Paolo) and Musacchio (Villarreal) primary targets.
