Real Madrid tempted Milito, but today the "Prince" extended his contract with Inter, as stated on the club's official website:
"FC Internazionale announces with pleasure that Diego Milito has signed a one-year extension to his contract with the club. The new contract runs until 30 June 2014.

"I will always be grateful to a great club like Inter for choosing me, and to president Moratti for his faith in me," said the Argentine striker, who conquered Italy and Europe in his first season at Inter.
