Miranda reveals why Inter lost against Juventus in Turin

Inter Milan defender Joao Miranda has said that not taking chances and not creating enough of them yesterday costed the nerazzurri the game against Juventus in Turin.

Miranda starred for Inter in a 1-0 loss, as a Mario Mandzukic header from close range from a Joao Cancelo cross saw the Croatian head the ball past Samir Handanovic. Inter though, had the biggest chance of the game.

Talking to Inter TV, the Brazilian Miranda revealed what was lacking for them in the game and he said that they did not create enough to score against the Serie A table-toppers.

Miranda said: "The difference was that Juventus had an opportunity and scored, while we did not succeed by having more. But we played a good game today, we have shown that we are as strong as they are.

"We only have to make better use of the opportunities to find the back of the net."

The result sees Inter stay at third, but Juve have now opened up a 13-point gap between themselves and Luciano Spalletti's men, all but majorly denting their hopes of winning the Scudetto.

Napoli face Frosinone in an attempt to cut down Juve's lead back to eight points.
