Modric the best in the world, Ronaldo only number ten

Next Monday will take place the ceremony for the assignation of Balòn d’Or. After many rumors, the first verdict on the best player of 2018 has come. In the ranking drawn up by the IFFHS, the International Federation of History and Statistics football, Luka Modric is at the first place with 272 points, in front of Leo Messi (144) and Eden Hazard (114). Cristiano Ronaldo isn’t in the top three. In the fourth position is placed Kevin de Bruyne, fifth Neymar, sixth Pogba and seventh Eriksen. At the eighth place the first representative of Serie A, Miralem Pjanic. Ninth place for James Rodriguez, only tenth Cristiano Ronaldo, with just five points. Out of the top 10, therefore, World Cup winners like Varane, Mbappé and Griezmann, indicated as possible winners of the Golden Ball by the rumors.
