Monchi sets sights on talented youngster for Roma

Roma sporting director Monchi has reportedly been busy scouring the transfer market for reinforcements, and he could have settled on a new defender.

The player is question is 22-year-old Sevilla ace Clement Lenglet, previously of Nancy, who has represented France from Under-16 level right the way through to Under-21s.

Further, the Frenchman has made 16 appearances in all competitions for Sevilla so far this season after his summer move to Spain, and he continues to impress for the La Liga outfit.

He's seemingly impressed Monchi in particular too as he has caught his eye with his performances this year, and in turn Roma could move to strengthen their options at the back with a top talent.

Eusebio Di Francesco has a few options to play in the backline in his current squad, but it's undoubtedly an area that could do with strengthening for the long-term future, and it appears as though Monchi has identified a possible solution to their problem.
