AC Milan issue ultimatum to Montella as new meeting takes place
The Italian tactician met Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli yesterday to discuss the identity of the next fitness coach given that the previous one – Emanuele Marra – was sacked by the club last week.
This second successive meeting has the same purpose (check out the candidates for the job here) as yesterday’s but the club’s executives are also going to discuss the team’s performances alongside the rossoneri boss. AC Milan will face Inter after the International break and a defeat in the derby of Milan could lead to the end of Montella's reign at AC Milan. Club's executives have warned Montella about his position during today's meeting, according to our sources.
AC Milan, in fact, have had a disappointing start to the season having lost three of their opening seven Serie A games.
The rossoneri need to qualify for the Champions League this season if they want to keep all their stars at the San Siro.
If they fail to do so, in fact, they’d have to sell one of their big names in order to balance the books.
