Montella: 'What I can do to solve AC Milan crisis'

During this afternoon’s press conference, in anticipation of tomorrows Europa League clash against Rijeka, Milan manager Vincenzo Montella suggested that he feels comfortable in his position, and isn’t worried about reports his job is in jeopardy.

On Firing The Fitness Coach: I want to point out that it was not his fault. There are some divergences on some points I did not feel comfortable with. My staff is my family and he is a brother. I wish him all good and he knows I love him. He is not the scapegoat.

On Milan Executives: I thank Mirabelli and Fassone that they leave me free in my choices. I feel part of a strong company that leaves me autonomy. I am proud of training Milan. I understand that in the difficulties, but all I can do is give the best of myself. It’s been difficult, but I have always been raised that this is a step for further growth.
