Maicon's agent, Antonio Caliendo, gave an update on his player's future speaking to Sky: "During my trip to Spain I just had  courtesy meetings with Real Madrid, Valencia and Barcelona. Tuesday night I am having a meeting with Maico on his return from the USA. In the last years Inter won everything, so they can afford to put their best players on the market".

"If Moratti decided to sell Maicon for financial reasons, we are available to this solution. The president is Florentino Perez's friend, they did lots of business together in the past. If they reach an agreement, there are no problems on our side. It's obvious that a great champion will ask for more money, but in my career I have never failed a transfer for money and therefore I am confident that the deal can be done".
