Mourinho rejected chance to sign Ronaldo

Ronaldo joined Juventus from Real Madrid this past summer for a fee of 100 million euros and has already made three appearances for the Old Lady this summer, but has not scored his maiden Juve goal yet.
Daily Mirror state that Mourinho turned down the chance to sign Ronaldo from Real Madrid this summer, despite the player very much willing to leave the Santiago Bernabeu to rejoin the Old Trafford based side.
It is stated that the internal politics at United led to Mourinho telling the board members that they would not sign Ronaldo, allowing the Portuguese star to join Juventus in a club record fee.
