Nainggolan: Belgium is a closed chapter. Martinez? Pathetic

Radja Nainggolan spoke in an interview for the ESPN television.
“I said that if I was not going to the World Cup I wouldn’t have played for Belgium again”. With these words the midfielder closed the door once and for all to a comeback to his national team.

“I was so disappointed to be rejected with no reason before the start of the world cup. I played a great European Championship so I don’t know why I have been excluded. Right now, I just want to focus on Inter and try to do my best to achieve the results with my team”.

Nainggolan also discussed about his controversial behaviour out of the pitch.
“Why am I always criticized? How can I play 50 games every season if my lifestyle is so bad? I’m not a bad guy, I just want to make people happy. Martinez apologies? Pathetic”.

Radja Nainggolan earned his first cap for Belgium on 29 May 2009, against Chile in the Kirin Cup. He scored his first goal for the Red Devils on 5 March 2014, in a 2–2 friendly draw with Côte d'Ivoire. His last match with Belgium was on the 27 March 2018, when they defeated 4-0 Saudi Arabia. He has played 30 matches scoring 6 goal with his national side.
