Napoli keen on Valencia star
Fiorentina’s Matias Vecino tops the manager’s wish-list, tough his former Empoli player is not likely to leave the Franchi in January.
As previously reported, Valencia’s André Gomes is another hot name on both Sarri and Cristiano Giuntoli’s agendas and middle-men who are carrying out negotiations with the Spanish side have shown optimism over a possible transfer, Il Corriere dello Sport revealed this morning.
The players spent the 2014-2015 campaign on loan at the Mestalla, before joining Valencia for € 15 million in 2015. ‘The Eagles’ will get a 20% percentage of Andre Gomes’ next sale. The Portugal International’s deal with his current club runs until 2020 and Gary Neville has asked the club not to sell the player in the current transfer window.
André Gomes’ economic rights belongs to Peter Lim’s investment fund Meriton Capital Limited that acquired the player from Benfica in 2014.
Lim is a close friend of Jorge Mendes, probably the most influential football agent out there.
